Bullhead City

I secured a site at the Silverview RV Resort just across the border in Bullhead City. The Colorado river divides Laughlin and Bullhead City. The Silverview RV Resort is a very nice RV Park. The staff and residents are very freindly, there is a jacuzzi and a heated swimming pool. I secured a site overlooking the bluff and could see the Colorado River and the Casino lights of Laughlin at night.

I decided to stay here just one week but I enjoyed the atmosphere so much, that I decided to stay for a month. I really enjoyed the town of Bullhead City as well as Laughlin. I found a Mexican restaurant El Palacio and it serves draft Dos Equis beer for only $.95 and free pupus and happy hour from 3-8pm daily. Now you just can't beat that and everything is within driving distance. Also, the casinos are just across the river a five minute drive either way.

I rang in the New Year 2012 at the Riverside Casino in Laughin and secured tickets to the Mel Mel Tillis show. Wow what a great show I got to meet and hug old Mel what a great performance he gave.

In fact I liked Bullhead City and Laughlin so much, that I decided to spend the winter here and give me a chance to save some money. So I looked around for cheap little lots and discovered the Riverview RV Resort. The resort is a haven for Snowbirds from all over the country. Some people drive here or even fly in to spend the winters in less than snow conditions. I met Bob at the Silverview RV Park and he said he been coming here for 15 years and he lives in northern California. In fact while I was in Pomona, my next door neighbors Bob and Monica live in a house here in Bullhead City. They drove to Pomona in their 5 th wheel to visit with grandkids. The Riverview RV Resort has two swimming pools, an outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi and a gym area with separate working saunas. The resort owns its own 9 hole golf course and have lots of activities for its guests, including shuffle boards, card games, computer room and dancing hall. So I looked and found out that lots were selling for $35,000 and up. I called a realtor and was told that someone had just lowered lot #385 down to $19,000. I called and made an offer of $15,000 (low balled um) and I was surprised that they accepted my offer and I got me a small piece of Arizona. Of course this is a 55 and up RV Resort and so many amenities and so close to my favorite restaurant, medical and dental facilities. Oh and I got me a state ID card and can now get a state fishing license oh yeah .
